We do not authorize other users on a student’s Chromebook device. Log in will be limited to the student’s school email account only.
Chromebooks will be issued two weeks before school start. See JEDI Calendar for school start/end dates. JEDI will provide a day for students to drop off Chromebooks at the end of the school year and a pick up day before school start at the Innovation Center in Whitewater. If you are unable to attend the designated pickup day, you will be charged a $25 technology fee to cover shipping.
PK – 2nd grade: Each student is issued a Touch Screen Chromebook designated for their use for the next 4 years.
3rd – 5th grade: Each student is issued a Chromebook designated for their use for the next 3 years.
6th – 8th grade: Each student is issued a Chromebook designated for their use for the next 3 years.
9th – 12th grade: Each student is issued a Chromebook designated for their use for the next 4 years.
The computer is on loan from JEDI to the parent/student and must be returned to JEDI in keeping with the Chromebook rotation schedule below. New Chromebooks will be issued in the following grades: PK, 3, 6, and 9th grade. The parent/student must return the previously used Chromebook at the end of the cycle (grades 2, 5, & 8) in order to receive a new issue.
When student finishes enrollment at JEDI or is withdrawn, parent/student has 30 days to return the computer. If the Chromebook is not received within 30 days, the Chromebook will be disabled and the parent/student will be billed the full cost of a replacement Chromebook.
