JEDI Virtual School
The first distance education consortium in the area, JEDI, operates the not-for-profit JEDI Virtual School.
The JEDI Virtual School offers comprehensive high school, middle school, and elementary school online curriculum.
JEDI provides high quality virtual learning opportunities at no additional cost to students enrolled in our member districts of Beloit Turner, Evansville, Fort Atkinson, Jefferson, Lake Mills, Marshall, Mauston, Monroe, Stoughton, Sun Prairie, and Whitewater.
Open enrolled JEDI students may earn a diploma from our chartering district while resident students of our consortium districts earn a diploma from their high school by meeting the appropriate graduation requirements.
Students from outside our member districts may still attend JEDI Virtual School, but they must Open Enroll through the Wisconsin Department of Instruction or pay tuition.
Highly Qualified Teachers
Activities at School
ALL courses offered to students of the JEDI Virtual School and individually to students attending in brick and mortar schools are taught by licensed teachers.
Our curriculum meets the rigor of the Wisconsin State Standards.
Each JEDI Virtual School student receives personalized attention.
A learning coach is assigned and a personal education plan is developed to meet each full-time student’s needs.
HOME SCHOOLING FAMILIES
Freedom to Educate your Children with Maximum Choices while Offering Maximum Opportunities
JEDI provides to home schooling families a comprehensive, personalized, quality K-12 curriculum. Students receive assistance from certified instructors, a learning coach and student services coordinator as well as district counseling staff. With 24/7 online access to courses, students enjoy the benefits of a flexible schedule. Families maintain their choice of learning environment and scheduling while increasing the choices their children have for quality educational experiences.
Families enrolled in JEDI member school districts (or open enrolled to the JEDI Virtual School), experience the advantage of public school opportunities free of tuition and course costs. This means that students access district extra curricular activity options such as fine art groups and sports. For students seeking to attend post-graduate education, credits are transcribed with their school district. Students earning necessary credits receive a district diploma, making the college entrance procedure more manageable.
